The cheap-as-chips Realme 7 and 7 Pro are official with insanely fast charging and sub-€300 pricing

We posted our review of the impressive Realme X50 5G a little while ago and now the brand has just launched another salvo of devices aimed at the budget-conscious market with sub-€300 prices. The Realme 7 and 7 Pro both feature quad rear cameras, FHD+ displays, big batteries, 3-year warranties, and are imminently affordable with prices starting from €179 ($210) and €299 ($350) respectively.

Realme 7

The world’s first smartphone to be powered by MediaTek’s Helio G95 Octa-core gaming processor, the Realme 7 scores over 300,000 on Antutu. Available in 4GB/64GB, 6GB/64GB, and 8GB/128GB variants, the Realme 7 also sports a 6.5-inch LCD display with 20:9 aspect ratio, 90Hz refresh rate, and FHD+ (2400 x 1080) resolution. There’s a 48MP primary sensor (Samsung), an 8MP Ultra-wide lens, a 2MP Macro lens, as well as a 2MP Black & White portrait sensor. The 16MP selfie camera sits in the punch-hole on the top-left corner of the display.

The Realme 7 should be good for a couple of days normal usage thanks to the mammoth 5,000mAh battery that can be speedily topped up using the 30W Dart Charge adaptor, achieving a 50% charge in 26 minutes. The fingerprint sensor is integrated into the power button, there’s a headphone jack on the bottom of the phone, MicroSD card support, and NFC is present which means that Google Pay is supported.

The Realme 7 is available in Mist White and Mist Blue colorways, going on sale from October 21st, with pre-orders already live on Amazon UK at the following prices:

  • 4GB/64GB: €179/£179
  • 6GB/64GB: £199/€199

Realme 7 Pro

Sporting a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with 60Hz refresh rate, FHD+ resolution, and a 20:9 aspect ratio, the Realme 7 Pro offers an upgraded experience in a few areas. Available in a single variant with 8GB RAM, 128GB storage, the 7 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 720G chip and has an in-display fingerprint sensor. The battery is downsized to 4,500mAh but has speedier 65W SuperDart charging technology that gets the battery from 0-13% in just 3 minutes and a full charge in 34 minutes.

The quad-rear cameras include a 64MP sensor (Sony IMX682), an 8MP Ultra-wide lens, and the same 2MP Macro and B&W portrait cameras as the Realme 7. An audio jack is present, as is NFC and support for MicroSD cards.
