Samsung’s Galaxy Watch3 has been unboxed, set up, and compared with other smartwatches over a week before the device is officially announced. This particular Galaxy Watch3 is finished in the same beautiful bronze color as seen with leaked Galaxy Note 20 and is the smaller 41mm model.
We’ve seen enough of the Galaxy Watch3 leaked to highlight various features of the device. It will be offered in two sizes, 41mm and 45mm, with a 1.2-inch and 1.4-inch displays. Control is via the touchscreen plus a rotating bezel, which is thinner than earlier Samsung watches. There are also two buttons on the right side of the watch face. All models will come with the same 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage, be constructed from a combination of stainless steel and Gorilla Glass DX, and have the MIL-STD-810G rating. They are all also expected to share a similar set of features as the Samsung Galaxy Active 2 watch, including GPS, heart rate ECG, blood pressure, and a pedometer for tracking activity.
All up, Samsung is rumored to be building selling a total of nine different models in various colors, with or without LTE availability, and at two different sizes. We are expecting the new smartwatch to be officially announced at the Samsung Unpacked event on August 5, alongside a total of four other devices, including the Galaxy Note 20, Galaxy Z Fold 2, and Galaxy Tab S7. We should have a better idea of pricing and availability at this time.
