In case all the decorations and specialty food items haven’t clued you in, fall has very much arrived at the Walt Disney World Resort, and The Wave… of American Flavors at Disney’s Contemporary Resort is getting in on the seasonal fun with a trio of new cocktails!
The Harvest Punch, Wild Apple Mule, and Witches Brew are all beautiful drinks that offer big fall flavors.
You could say they made us all “aglow!” (Or you could say that they were the “apple” of our eye, but that’s some excessive punning before we even take a sip.)
Now that you’ve got the idea of what they look like, let’s dive in!
Harvest Punch (Captain Morgan, Butterscotch Schnapps, Orange Juice, Bitters and Pumpkin Syrup, topped with a Roasted Cinnamon Stick and Star Anise) – $14.00
We were very impressed with the Harvest Punch. It has a smokey, butterscotch-forward flavor thanks to the schnapps.
There’s also a hint of cinnamon that isn’t excessive, as you might expect from the cinnamon stick. This was a well-balanced drink that’s worth the price.
Wild Apple Mule (Crown Royal Apple, Sparkling Apple Cider and Ginger Beer, topped with a Candied Dehydrated Apple) – $15.00
The Wild Apple Mule is as apple-y as advertised. It’s a nicely-mixed mule with a strong apple flavor.
The dehydrated apple slice also gives it a nice look that reminds us of crisp winds and colorful leaves. It’s one worth sipping.
Witches Brew (Tito’s, Blue Curacao, Sweet and Sour, Grenadine and Cranberry Juice, topped with Gummy Worms and a Candy Apple Glow Cube) – $15.00
Despite it’s wicked name, this Witches Brew is very sweet.
Because of the grenadine and cranberry juice, it has a strong fruit juice-like flavor. It was so sweet that we couldn’t even taste the alcohol.
And as you may have already noticed, it comes with a glow cube inspired by the poison apple from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. All in all, these are some very enjoyable options to get you in the mood for fall!
