Mobvoi and Imoo will be the first to launch smartwatches powered by the new Snapdragon Wear 4100

Snapdragon Wear 4100

Qualcomm has just announced its new Snapdragon Wear 4100+ platform that promises to revitalize the Wear OS smartwatch platform, and we may not have long to wait until we see the first wearables to sport the new chip come to market. We can expect new smartwatches from Imoo and Mobvoi to launch in the foreseeable future.

First up is Imoo, a company that is known for making kids smartwatches, with plans to launch the Z6 Ultra smartwatch and begin shipping orders sometime in the next 30 days. Imoo will be the first to make use of Qualcomm’s new wearable chip, which the company says will “…bring a series of exciting new, connected experiences to children“.

Well-known Wear OS brand, Mobvoi, is set to follow suit with its brand-new smartwatch called the TicWatch Pro 3, its next-generation flagship. Mobvoi has been a stalwart of the Wear OS platform in recent years, having only recently launched the TicWatch C2+, and it’s great to see them jump on the SD4100 bandwagon at the very beginning and hope they can build on the success they’ve had with the TicWatch Pro series.
